I dreamed my ex was yelling at me about being with another guy. Christ, even in my dreams I can't get rid of that guy

The other day I had a dream that my bosses were in my bedroom going through my stuff. They demanded to see what was hidden under my mattress.

I have no idea what could have been about.

Something about being forced into participating to furry porn in order to save my friends from being slaughtered by some mad men. Cowgirling a guy in an Easter bunny costume lying in a bath tube is not the sexiest sight.

Crazy dreams last night and this morning, I woke up four times from troubling dreams but only remember one definitively and a part of the other.

The main dream was that my most recent ex-girlfriend's job was now a classroom, and seeing that it is in a mall, the entire mall has been turned into a huge indoor school. The ex-girlfriend I dated before this most recent ex (both I dated well over 4 years ago mind you), that further ex, has a greaser hair style and porno-looking mustache & goatee. My now recently male ex-girlfriend and her new girlfriend are hooking up in this salon/classroom, just to distract people and get me in trouble. So I have to drag them out of the room and get into a fight with them, but it's all in slow-motion, and I wake up tangled in my blanket.

The next dream I had I don't recall that well, but it involved a lot of running from some kind of wild animals and a jeep. That's all I got.

The most recent dream I remember was from 2 nights ago: I dreamed I had to be somewhere, to make a good impression (probably a job interview), but I kept forgetting things at the house. I kept having to walk back and get them, and then when I was ready, it started *raining* -- I had to walk back and get my umbrella! Not only was I late, I didn't even get to my destination before my alarm went off.* I was so tired when I got up, as though I didn't even sleep.


* I still set an alarm to maintain Milo's feeding schedule and to stay in the habit of getting up early

This one was really weird, in my book: I was watching a Jersey Shore style horror movie that started out in a sort of dance club where the musical performers had a staged act to accompany them (like a live performance music video). One of the acts had a guy who was pregnant and lying on a hospital bed because the "pregnancy" was going to burst from his stomach. The act goes as planed but the fake parasite became a real monster and killed the guy it burst out of. The entire club runs out screaming while the monster (who had multiplied into multiple little monsters) was shooting at the escaping partiers. Harold and Kumar come into play and explain how this monster came into being: one of our (westerner) midgets (think Vern Troyer) fell in love with a South American pygmy woman and produced an evil offsrping that was sent via a magical "rabbit boat" (for some reason it was called a rabbit boat but it was just a thatched canoe that had mystical abilities to traverse time) to give back the terror the westerners had given them.

I think I had a dream that an area was haunted by clowns that will dole out righteous vengeance on those who transgress a law. A man was having an affair with another woman (in his house while the wife slept) but when they tried to quietly dispose of the evidence of their affair, the wife heard the commotion and discovered the other woman. The mistress diffused the tension by saying she was only a coworker of the husband and they were working on a project that required them to go to each others house for late nights, but the husband didn't think the wife bought it and he bludgeoned her on the head. Immediately, the stereotypical circus song whistled in the air and they tried to hide from the judgmental clowns, but the clowns got and killed them in a very painful way.

Last night I had a dream where it was spring time in the Bronx and everything was unusually idyllic and green. I even saw a little turtle in someone's lawn. Anyway, I was going for a walk. looking for a place to eat, but every place I walked by only served meat dishes. So I ended up getting a large bag of potato chips, which was fine by me. So anyway, I'm walking around enjoying all the greenery and the potato chips and I keep thinking to myself Geoffrey (a friend from another state) would really like this. I end up in someone's house. A woman and her son are there. The woman owns a Jamaican food company. The house is now in Jamaica, which reminds me a lot of Puerto Rico. The woman starts bragging about making money off a new recipe. Then she hands me a big wad of cash, telling me it's for all the money I've ever given my mom. I go into the woman's kitchen. It's a very simple kitchen with soft pink walls and white cabinets. There are simple white lace curtains in the window, which were billowing in the wind. I really liked the kitchen.

And then I woke up. I thought it was a nice dream. Especially the wad of cash part.

I actually dreamed that there was such a thing as a vampire academy for kids and teenagers (but because this came from my head, it was not some cute Monster High scenario).

Just had a crazy realistic dream, that my friend who work s for Naval Intelligence moved back to Massachusetts, and we were driving somewhere while it was snowing, me being in the passenger seat. His car skid while making a turn and somehow we ended up going a lane to far and this car was right on our a$$, flashing us. So I open the door to the car and hang out pointing at the snow screaming; "hey you blame nature". We end up both pulling into the same shopping center parking lot, and the car behind us was this tiny little thing, being driven by a beautiful women named Vivian with two young girls. So we end up hitting it off something crazy, one of the kids is her daughter and the other a friend; we pretty much schedule meeting up the next time I'm in Mass, yada yada. Then I just wake up in the middle of the conversation I'm having with my good friend about the woman as we're shopping. It kinda jumped forward in time, but it was this very unassuming dream that seemed very realistic, almost to a unsettling nature how clearly I remember it and how it progressed.

I kept having dreams about zombies attacking and killing my family. While I'm awake, zombies don't bother me. While I'm asleep, they scare the ever living crap out of me. Everytime I would wake up and then try to go back to sleep, the zombie dream would change, and I would get more scared. I woke up again around 7 am. I couldn't fall asleep for a long time. Then when I did, I fell asleep until after 1 pm. My dreams made me very scared for some reason in the fully alert world.

I think QueenB will get a kick out of this: I dreamed that there was a sequel to Beetlejuice where Beetlejuice and Lydia were indeed married--and in love--but somehow Beetlejuice was transformed to look more alive (and had the hair style of one of the high priests of the Church of Satan) and sired a lot of kids with Lydia (even after many years she could not take her hands off of him).

^I wonder what Beetlejuice/Lydia babies would look like? What an awesome dream.

I had become a kloketeer, and my irises became black as as an automatic result and sign. I also gained some weird special standing that gave me special privileges. It was an awesome dream especially seeing my mum shirk at my physical changes.

Had a dream with an ex of mine in it, but she was blind.

Weird.

Had my reoccurring dream of a cemetery. Its a beautiful place, full of little mausoleums tucked in the side of hills and twisted, messy gardens. I was walking there with my cousin and my boyfriend at night, intent on exploring. When we arrived at the cemetery, the gates were wide open. Beyond the gates was a gothic chapel with a dozen of shimmering spirits, chatting and laughing with each other. The grounds keeper (who was alive), walked over to the gates and invited us to come in and join the party.

Super duper weird one last night:

On my way to a funeral for a coworker that I didn't know because I had just started a new job. All of the employees are gathered in front of a large building but we're not sure where to go for the funeral. We're given instructions to go to the second level. We enter the building which inside looks more like an airport or shopping mall. Some of us are given a ticket for the funeral. I didn't bother to grab one because it was a funeral - why would I need a ticket for that? Plus I didn't want another piece of paper to hold on to. I follow the crowd in the building and we're all just walking. We pass a news stand and I see a guy walking in the opposite direction intentionally drop his cellphone on a stack of newspapers. It was an older flip phone. I look at the phone and pick it up. I keep following the crowd to the funeral. I hear either a radio or PA system make an announcement that the police are looking for a guy who they say is a serial killer. They describe him as tall, athletic, and attractive. They guy who dropped his phone fit this description perfectly. I get tired of following the people to the funeral and decide to just leave. I figured with the free time I could go visit my mom. I'm now outside and it is dark out. I walk toward the bus stop and notice someone behind me. Is he going to the bus stop too? Is he following me? It is the man who dropped his cell phone. He looks at me, and then walks past me. But he is also at the bus stop waiting for the bus. I pull out my phone to call my mom and my husband to let them know where I am and where I'm heading. My thinking is that if the serial killer guy hears my conversation he'll realize someone will be waiting up for me and he would leave me alone. My phone doesn't work. I begin to worry. I'm now in his room, sitting on his bed. I am not scared or panicked. He tells me he won't hurt me.

And that's when my alarm went off and I woke up.

As with everything I say, take this dream analysis with a grain of salt- my last name does, after all, translate as "flake":

Dreams are a blend of three things: Prophetic, symbolic, and the detritus of the waking mind. I would say your latest dream has heavy doses of the later two. Recent events in the news have left us feeling a need to mourn in a way that we don't fully understand- we don't know the people affected by violent crime, but in the back of our minds we know that these things could hit home, affecting us or someone we know. That explains the unknown coworker. But these things do still upset us on a level we may not fully acknowledge. I believe that as goths we're hit differently by stories of mass-shootings and serial killers, because our community is very familiar with mental illness and is often (unfairly) painted as the Boogeyman in these things. The ever awesome Matt Sullivan had an Apocalypse Not Quite Yet comic that hit the nail on the head when his heroine was arrested after picking up a gun magazine that someone else had knocked off the shelf. Your giving up on the funeral is symbolic of how little the logical mind can make sense of these things, and your calling of your mother and husband represents that you find in them a safe harbor, even in times of chaos. Hug them regularly. As for feeling at peace in the room of the man who may be the killer, this may relate back to what I said before. The person vilified by the news isn't always a demon. Even if he were, you have the intelligence and strength to potentially win in the face of evil. Though this dream seems complex and distressing, my assessment is that you can justifiably claim a sense of love, strength, and comfort from that chaos of images.

^^Brilliant assessment of my dream! All this time I thought I was watching way too may episodes of Criminal Minds. LOL
