Bordering on TMI and for that I apologize:
Found out yesterday that I do NOT carry the BRCA gene.  So, bilateral mastectomy is NOT mandatory -- in all likelihood I will lose one at most, and once I'm medically able I'll have a new one put right back in.  But from a long-term health perspective this is good news too: increased risk of ovarian and pancreatic cancers ride that same gene.  So, while I'll be monitored more closely overall from here on out, at least I do not have an increased genetic risk.

Finally get to go out tomorrow, I haven't been out properly since early November.

I won a contest at work: most productive vocational counselor from Jan 1st through the 17th (counselor with most face-to-face contact with clients). Silly contest, and the prize is attending a workshop with the boss. LOL Still, nice to be recognized for my work.

Just posted in the rant thread, and now reminding myself why I shouldn't rant: According to tests, the cancer has shrunken about 50%.  Those are "very good" results, in my doctor's words.

I got a job working security at The Space and Rocket Center. The funny thing is that the administration offices are by parking lot Uranus.

I filed my taxes tonight. Now I just have to wait for the return.

Can't tell you how excited this made us when this commercial came on tonight.

new computer, YAY! And I'm starting to feel a bit better...

Had a job interview yesterday afternoon. I think it went rather well, but now I have to play the waiting game. Also, I'm not sure about the salary - I told the HR person before the interview what I was looking for, and she said she'd try to meet it.

I've lost 11 pounds since January. Woot! My knees are already beginning to feel better!

I got the job! Annoyed that I have to wait until April 21 to start.
