| ^^^ Link is what I bought.
It's basically soy that tastes better than tofu and looks like meat. |

| Yves pretty much smell, taste and look just like their chicken and meat counterparts. The chicken basically fooled my cat who ate a piece, then had this puzzled look on her face. | |

| ^^Doh, I guess the link goes to the beefless tips so that's probably what you got. I prefer the chicken-like ones, the beef ones are weird and too sweet for me. But they are pretty good in stew or something! | |

The 'beef' tips are the only gardein product this store carries. The rest of the meatless meat is Quorn. I might have to try the stew bit. I still have a can of vegetable broth somewhere. |

| ^^It's weird how mainstream stores choose to carry the crappiest vegan/vegetarian stuff they can find. The beefy things are probably the worst thing Gardein makes (though still okay). My stores here carry that weird soy cheese that has casein (milk) in it. Who else is going to eat some really gross soy cheese that isn't a vegan? They also have the grossest veggie dog brands they can find. Who buys this crap? I don't know how stores can make money from it.
This is why I have to travel to Whole Foods, they have lots of goodies that are tasty. Though, I realize that driving 15 minutes to a store isn't really "traveling" much, haha, so I don't mind.

| This actually ties in to something I was thinking while at the store. The meat eaters are trying to tell the veggie eaters they're not wanted. Even though I also had milk and meat in my purchases, my stuff seemed to be manhandled by the checker and bagger. I also had an old guy seem to think that my cart was in his way while I was looking at the tofu (even though there was room enough for him and his wife who was pushing their cart to walk by). Granted, I'm in a beef state. Here, apparently it's not a meal if there's no meat. |

| It's because so many meat eaters are uber, uber sensitive. The thing is, once a veg*n walks in the room, they are no longer just a person, they are a MEAT EATER. Just the presence of one flips their freak-out switch and they are forced to think about what they're eating. People hate thinking about what they do and therefore get very mean in defense and throw insults at us and our tofu. And that's not even with a word out of our mouths!
Though it's kinda cool to be able to intimidate grown men and women without even saying a word. Add that to being a goth and we're downright superpowered! Haha.
