| I've made the pie 3 times, I think. A few modifications to the recipe:
Use a little more chocolate than pb. Use only half the maple syrup. Blend everything twice as long as the recipe states, stopping partway through to scrape down the sides of the food processor. And crumbled-up peanut butter cookies on top instead of the pretzels.

| Oh, lord....I really wish I weren't on a diet now! Maybe I could have about 1/16th of a slice! Still, this one is going in my recipe box! | |

| ^^ I've lived in the Bible Belt for 9 1/2 years, and the ONE person who hassles me for being a vegetarian is a guy from Massachusetts on a Goth message board! p.s. -- Why do people have a problem with folks who are veg? We don't care what non-veg folks eat; why should anyone care what we *don't* eat? | |

| Some veggies do care and tend to express their feelings on it too. I believe it is a personal choice and no one should be badgered about it. I don't eat meat but I dine with those that do. Madelchai you are naughty! But... you know they make a lot of foods now days that look like meat, but aren't! So that could all be veggie up there!
I thought this was going to be a thread on muffin tops.

People can do whatever they want and it matters not to me. I was just being my deliciously naughty self! In fairness, I'd hassle anyone else just as much! <3

| Madelchai That makes me feel sick YECK! Meat or not so greasy!! Come on people play nice if we don't wanna eat it then we don't wanna eat it we aren't doing any harm! We've not had a rant at any meat kids so just leave us to it eh? some people DO but we haven't so play nice! I had to go and make myself some chocolate pie yesterday, non vegan but still lush! Then had a big pan of Ramen to top it all off mmmmmmm I love cooking so much and my diet means I have to be more innovative which i love. I've also found that I consider diffrent foods to be unhealthy to normal peoples. Like cooked veg or stuff with lots of carbs or dairy | |

| ^^Ooh, that does sound good. I made a big batch of ratatouille last weekend, with the plan of having it for dinner during the week -- my husband ate it too! That really makes me happy considering he's never been big on zucchini or tomatoes. He's an omnivore who would probably be ecstatic at the sight of Madelchai's bacon post up there. But now he's eating some veg stuff too. I more or less followed this recipe, but swapped the eggplant for yellow squash, and fresh basil for the bay leaves: http://www.recipezaar.com/Ratatouille-234477Oh, and you don't need that much sugar; use just 1/2 tsp. And throw in some green bell pepper too. OK, maybe I didn't really follow the recipe. | |

| Share ? [muffin ready plate!]> Well what I really need some of you to share as well are ice creams that are non-dairy! I have found out I'm not too particularly found of soy kinds, but I did just have Good Karma's Organic Rice Divine ~ Carrot Cake recently and ... Oh My! So if any of you could help me out & my tastes buds here from having to venture into eeeYuck territory! Oh and maybe there are soy ice creams out there that were better than what I had which was Purely Decadent ~ Turtle Trails. It was ok, but more like ice milk than ice cream. Thanks very much! | |

| I'm not veggie or vegan, but I'm not the biggest fan of beef, pork or chicken. I prefer seafood and soy products because I'm lactose intolerant. I'm a total sushi freak, I like to make it with baked tofu marinated in soy sauce. ...Then again all I usually eat at school is buffalo swiss burgers. | |
