Movie remakes make me crazy!!!

They are remaking "My Fair Lady" yes...with a singing Kiera Knightly. Like the original movie was so horrible that they needed to redo it! AND I just found out today that they are remaking "Valley Girl". Jesus Christ...someone kill me. This is one of the cheesiest and most awesome movies of the 80's...leave it alone!

It is really annoying when they remake classic movies. They are classic for a reason (some examples):

Alfie
Bedazzled
Psycho
Get Carter
The Italian Job
Planet Of The Apes
House of Wax

Does Hollywood have no original ideas left? There are so many excellent books that should be made into movies (but only if they are done well) like Phillip Jose Farmer's Dayworld, Isaac Asimov's Foundation and Neil Gaimon's Good Omens. They are making a remake of Logan's Run that I'll be interested in seeing only because they are making it exactly like the real book series. The original was a classic, but a remake made just like the book would be very interesting if they don't screw it up.

Does anyone else have any movies that are remakes that really piss them off? If they remake "Labyrinth" I'm driving up to Hollywood to kick someone in the nuts

Yeah, the remake train has been here for quite some time now. It really, really makes me go wack-o hearing about all the horror remakes they have in store. Just recently, rumours started going about the remake of Suspiria and, yeah, no. All horror remakes have been utter crap lately. Some are decent, but it's their own little movie. I try not to think of them as remakes any more...just another movie with my favourite slashers and dicers.

Buuuut, I've completely given up with my woes cuz the Wood is just going to remake them and it will be horrible. *shrug*

I liked the remake of Texas Chainsaw...

Remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a great movie.....as an entirely different movie by itself. Does it capture the essence of the original? Nope.

I hate the Halloween remake...Day of the Dead remake was HORRIBLE...so was Black Christmas and The Eye and I could go on and on.

I almost want to slam my head against something but I'll wait and see. it could be a good movie, it just depends on who Jet, Eddword, and Fay are. It also depends on if Keanu can be as cool as Spike, move like spike, do that almost effortless martial arts like spike and if he can go without saying "woah"... THIS IS GONNA SUCK! He can't possibly do that and with the PC monster controlling everything Spike probably wont even smoke

I know! Messing with Evil Dead is sacreligious! I really, really liked the Hills Have Eyes remake (or is Hills of Eyes something different?). However, I found Hills Have Eyes 2 a huge disappointment.

They need to hire new writers and get new ideas for movies.

Iiiiiiiiiicck, rumoured that Billy Bob Thornton got cast as Fred. It better stay a rumour. Oh gosh, this movie is going to be a major flop.

My hubby nearly had a heart attack when he heard about that vampira. He's a huge rocky horror fan (yes including dressing up in the fishnets for a screening)
