^^ And with good reason! Jeez, no one wants to be associated with that nutjob -- no one who wants to keep clientele, anyway. Sad that the sponsors are being steered by their bottom line rather than commitment to social reform, but hey, as long as they're steered.

One day back in December, I went to Bruegger's for a sandwich on my lunch break, and a complete stranger struck up a conversation with me. To make a long story short, he might now be able to get me advance notice of job openings, and a face-to-face meeting, with staff from the state university's art museum. This could be good. If nothing else, I'm just happy to have that support in my job hunt.

Nsane: I've listened to his show (Ex-Boss used to listen to it at the gallery, until the radio died and I brought in mine: my radio meant my listening choices). It would be one thing if Rush felt strongly about issues and could compose a cohesive argument in favor of his views... but he honestly hasn't got the intelligence, so he comes up with a bunch of extremist jargon and other hot air. It's like Jerry Springer without dialog and without transvestities (which could only improve Rush's show, lol). So that's why I really can't stand Rush: I strongly oppose the spread of misinformation, likewise the spread of radical ignorance that's passed off as intelligent opinion.

OK, I can't get excited about this yet b/c nothing is official, but I *might* have a jewelry exhibit at the arts center in September. Just needs to get final approval, which I'll hopefully hear about either Friday or Monday.

Most of those political personalities or analysis only quality is that they can shout louder than the person they're arguing with, as if in hope that if their point is stated loudest it may be assumed more sound in judgment.

Just when I was about to give up on someone thinking he had forgotten about me - he texted me last night. Sure beat our old method of communication: Facebook. LOL It's always nice to catch up with an old friend.

Puscifer on Wednesday was amazing. I ended up going by myself, which I've never done before, but it turned out well enough. It was exactly what I needed The show was great and Maynard was great-and hilarious

^^ Awesome! Glad you had a great time. I've been thinking lately it would be a cool experience to go to a concert by myself; you enjoy it in a totally different way.

Dave Brubeck's "Take 5" is on in the background. I've always loved that piece, between the horn and the piano, and the tension in the middle. It was really well used in the movie Pleasantville.

^It was a different experience going by myself. I felt comfortable the entire time, which I wasn't sure of before going. It was kind of nice to just go in, find my seat, enjoy the show, people watch, then go on home

Found out this weekend from my sister that my boyfriend is wanting to propose to me. She really wasn't suppose to tell me, but she wanted to know what kind of ring I want. We always talked about getting married one day, but I was truly surprised to find out that he was already putting money away for the ring. I'm actually really giddy about it all. After all, after six years togeather it would be nice to have something to show for it.

I rearranged and cleaned my entire room yesterday. It was much needed. It feels better, is something new, and, best of all, makes me feel inspired again

Ah cool -- that's really good to hear. Seems like sorting and rearranging does help -- I cleaned out my closets recently, and I'm thinking of re-sorting boxes of photos and other ephemera. That's a fun chore anyway. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll find my honeymoon photos -- I've misplaced them again.

I just dropped a class and I'm feeling so much better for doing so. My attentional resources are limited this academic quarter...and my professor was being a d**k. So, one less class means more time to focus on my job search and stuff around the house.

I got a call today for a job interview. It's on Wednesday. I was so damn happy I almost cried. The funny thing is that I had just applied for the job last night.

Well, my day just improved -- I officially have a show of my jewelry (and one collage) at Sertoma Arts Center for the month of September! The girl who approved me was really flaky (she did it on the spot b/c she didn't get around to talking to the other person who was supposed to give approval), and had I not received the paperwork via email just now I wouldn't consider this solid enough to announce. But I'd say documents make it official.
