- I've noticed this year most of the costumes for women are all slutty. Now slutty costumes are ok if that is what you choose to do (and if you do at least try to be clever not just lingerie with animal ears stuck on a headband). The problem I have is that there isn't variety so if I want to wear a scary costume I will have to dress as a man I guess. Or make my own.
Well, don't you know that a woman in a costume is nothing unless you can see legs, tits and a$$? It's not like women are good conversationalists or interesting people! Its not like they are more than their body parts that EVERY SINGLE PERSON on the planet has! No, silly girl, we NEED those slutty costumes to be worth something!
(sorry, I'm done now)
...I fear the day when women realize that there's a few men who can truly appreciate strong, intelligent, independent women, with a great personality, fun, and a great conversationalist... who feel like prancing around in a tight leotard, fishnets, and cat ears/tails. So many brains will be splattered against the wall from exploding heads... and only the stupid, ignorant jerks will be remained because their pea brain only noticed half of the package - the wrapping. Store-bought costumes... eh. Depends where you go. Wal-Mart actually has at least one or two "good" ones per year (if even that). Stores like Party City (which I assume is like the local-ran Party Galaxies) typically have a much broader/varied variety... though I don't remember PG having as many "slutty" costumes as PC appears to have. I actually found an awesome Banana costume I'm seriously debating on purchasing along with some Moracas. And I work that night... costumes are allowed... so even more fun if I take that approach. However, I'm tempted to just turn one of my uniforms into a Stargate SG1 field unit attire... Or do this "fallen angel" thing I saw at Wal-Mart... But yeah... I, as a male, have no problem with slutty outfits... and yes, I am sad and ashamed to admit that. However, if a woman does has the desire to wear such a thing AND has such strong non-physical features as well... I would be extremely impressed. Of course, I'd still be equally impressed if they had a non-sexually "explicit" costume with equally strong non-physical features as well. I think... in some cases... the costume makes the person whilest in others the person makes the costume. Just because a costume may be explicit doesn't mean you have to act/accept being anything less than the person you truly are - granted, if you allow it, the world around you may try to put you into that position. |

| I don't know why I haven't started but I am planing on going as a lycanthrope in transition. I have to make my own claws, but at least I figured out the makeup. As for what I will wear as clothing, it will probably be what I normally wear. | |

| RavinwindX risque outfits can be very fetching I am just grouchy about the lack of options out there. People can be sexy and smart etc but judging from the retailers selection they would have you believe women=sluts men=scary
Ginger Snaps you must post photos, that costume sounds fantastic.
I am wanting to go as Shaun from the film Shaun of the Dead but I don't look anything like him, since I am female, busty, and black haired so I don't know how I would go about that. | |

| I am going over it rationally in my mind... To bid, or not to bid.... It's gorgeous, but I can't return it if it doesn't fit.... Oh, jeebus, it'll be fine! I'm bidding! I hope it doesn't jack up to $50 though by the time I'm done! | |

| ^It shouldn't rack up; I don't think anyone else is watching it! (Else, they would have bid already!) And rationally... even if you DID have to Buy it Now... $50 versus $120, for a theatrical quality costume you can wear over and over? It's VERY worth it. And you are a skinny minnie... it will fit you perfect. |

| Yeah, I have to agree that even if it is $50, that's way better than $120! I'm sure it will fit fine, it was just my brain rationalizing like it always does You spend other people's money quite well, my dear! This costume is well worth it though... Thanks for pointing it out to me! | |
